It has been an intense few days. While Jay went for lousy Anti-French jokes this week over the Tour de France victory by Floyd Landis, his staff was busy avoiding our questions and skirting our requests. Read the rest of this entry »
Jay Leno still at it …
Educating Jay - Tweet this! [July 11, 2006] No Comments »Jay Leno’s monologue, Monday July 10th: Congratulations to the Italian people for winning the World Cup. … They won after France’s best player got ejected for head butting. That’s the closest anyone in a French uniform has come to combat in 60 years.
For historical accuracy, we feel we need to point out the following:
- French Action in Afghanistan, about 4000 French military were involved in 2002.
- France takes part in ISAF (539 French troops maintain the security of the Kabul airport and its environs). Only the United States, France and the United Kingdom are providing officer training for the new Afghan army.
- French military participation is significant: in Macedonia (the EU’s Operation Concordia: 53 percent of troops); Bosnia-Herzegovina (10 percent of troops, the second-largest contribution after the United States); Kosovo (15 percent of the troops, the second-largest contribution, following Italy; United States number 8).
- Côte d’Ivoire: France deployed a continent of nearly 4,000 men, whose intervention saved American lives, in order to restore peace to that country and support African ECOWAS forces to which it, along with the United States, provides the greatest support.
- Liberia : France evacuated about 100 Americans from Liberia on June 8 and 9, 2003.

“We believe you have quite an impact on the popular perception of French, even more so than Fox News, the New York Post, the Washington Times to name a few. Given the fact that you have had many Americans of French heritage on your show, I find it incredible that you continue to make disrespectful comments about the French. ”

Jay Leno at it again
Editorials, Educating Jay - Tweet this! [November 8, 2005] No Comments »The following are “jokes” from Jay Leno’s monologue of Monday November 7th 2005.
- “This is now the twelfth day of rioting in France. They have been rioting for almost two weeks. And France has still not surrendered. That’s like a record.
- Things are so bad in France, they’re asking the Germans to come back.
- The rioters are said to be upset because they are immigrants who have been treated poorly by the French. What? French people treating foreigners rudely? I can’t believe that – stop the presses. Join the club.”
These recurring themes were echoed by many other late night comics including Rob Corddry of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
Educating Jay
Educating Jay - Tweet this! [October 25, 2005] No Comments »Over the last two years, we have monitored many media outlets gathering a large array of anti-French materials. One of the most outspoken anti-French proponents is Jay Leno. His comments in L.A. Weekly in September 2004 reveal how deeply rooted his prejudices are on this topic.
It’s time to Educate Jay Leno. Instead of going the usual route of a letter writing campaign, or other classic activist tactics, we have decided to start an education fund to purchase books and materials in an effort to educate Jay on this very disastrous period of French history.
