Miquelon.org – The Fighting French

Our latest experiment is now live! @frenchhaters has already caused a stir in the twitosphere. In under a week, the account has  retweeted close to 400 anti-French comments from around the world. Using specific keywords, Yahoo Pipes, RSS and Twitter, @frenchhaters automatically retweets any comment that is likely anti-French. The account is also checked on regularly and we follow-up on messages and replies.

In December of 2009, we asked Karl Rove via twitter if his office had sent out anti-French talking points to the media. The former Senior Advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff to President George W. Bush replied with a terse NO. While we appreciate having a reply we can add to the public record, needless to say we don’t believe Mr Rove.

Another day and it’s another email from Comedy Central. This time it’s a brand new website called jokes.com which is now owned and operated by Comedy Central. So with the usual glee that comes with a new source of American comedic material, sarcasm intended, I went to this website and typed in “French” to see what would come up.
